This is a really great article, Matthew! I've been into meditation for a long time but only recently started taking it seriously. Lately I'm up to 17 minutes every morning and it's definitely transformed my mind a bit! I feel like its easier to re-enter a calm state throughout the day, and my intuition in conversations and driving feels more in tune.

It was interesting that you brought up a moment in meditation where you cried! I've been noticing things like that-- with my internal world a little more visible, I'm noticing things like how often I think about negative things from my past. Why do those come up? Are they begging to be "processed" or how should we "let go" ?

An hour a day sounds badass. That's what Jack Dorsey does as his normal routine. I'm working up to it, my near-term goal is to reach at least 30 minutes a day! I've also been reading about Zen.

Thanks for reading my whole stream of consciousness here if you did. Great post! Cheers!
