What Is A Chakra?

Chakras are energy centers spread across the body from the base of your spine to the top of your head. “Energy” here refers to your life force, the bodily and spiritual power that keeps you alive. Interestingly, the Sanskrit word for this is prana, which means breath.

Chakra is Sanskrit for “wheel” or “circle.” Your life force energy gets caught up in certain patterns, or wheels, like being, feeling, doing, accepting and loving, communicating, seeing, and knowing.

When balanced, your chakras allow your life force energy to flow and pass through each one fully and effortlessly. This reflects in a life that is flowing and full of contentment, pleasure, excitement, love, knowledge, and faith.

When our chakras are disrupted, we experience conflict, and a lack of one or more of those values. In this article, I will explore the seven chakras, and how to keep them balanced, so that you can experience the higher levels of consciousness and the easy and free-flowing manifestation of your desires.
