Standing in Sunlight

A poem

Standing in sunlight is best
When the weather is crisp
And the sun needs to peak
Through clouds that cover cities

And the rays make
Ghostly golden lines
Across a back-lit
Bright gray sky

My skin turns a little warmer
And my mind a little clearer
When I’m standing in sunlight
Such as this

This poem is part of a chapbook I wrote, available here.
