Raining thoughts
A poem
Raining thoughts
Raining thoughts
Pouring all around
Soaking the clothes
Of those understand
Thus, they are made heavy
They who fall to suffering
But I sit under a healing sun
At the center of a garden
Empty and light
Knowing peace, peace, peace…
I was definitely thinking about The Matrix when I sat down to write this. The raining thoughts pouring all around is like the falling code of The Matrix — the constant stream of thoughts that run through our mind.
If we let the stream of fear-based thoughts control us, then we are made heavy, made to suffer. Nietzsche called that negative, downward spirit the spirit of gravity.
We’re not meant to fall for it. We’re meant to fly above the mind, become aware of its patterns and change them. The healing sun which makes your life a peaceful garden lies within your mind also.
Thanks for reading. Here are a few other poems I’ve written that I’d like to share with you:
