It doesn't have to be Christian. My girlfriend is similar, she grew up in a negative church environment so she hates it when I talk about Christian stuff. What's your beef with Christianity?

I only use Christian ideas and images in my writing because I think it's a set of ideas that most people understand. It's like a communication short-cut. But, real spirituality doesn't need a particular label, form, or dogma.
