I really like your style of explaining a useful idea and its counterpoint at the same time. You do a great job of clearing up the toxicity, leaving only the actually helpful version of spirituality.

It appears to me that the "toxic" version of anything is simply the distorted, misunderstood version. Like nagging Bible thumpers aren't real Christians. The real version is always more complex and subtle.

Isn't that so with spiritual experience in general? That's the ego-- everything is always an illusion because there's always more to learn.
