I Have An Angel

A poem about the beauty of contrast

I have an angel
An enchanting devil-woman
Who sits upon my shoulder
And gives me advice

There is no other
Not on the other shoulder
My angel plays
Both the black keys and the white

Because we both know
The most enchanting stories
Are the ones about redemption
From light into darkness
And darkness into light

If you like my poetry in general, stay tuned because I’m releasing a little chapbook of poems soon — probably sometime in January.
