Adults Are Conditioned By The World To Be Lifeless And Cynical

There are so many selfish forces in the world working to train people to be merely obedient workers and consumers.

The education system crushes our creativity and passion, and replaces it with rote knowledge, and the ability to thoughtlessly obey. Our politics pit us against each other with hate, for the benefit of politician’s lifestyles and feelings of importance. The industrial machine constantly bombards us with propaganda to spend, buy, consume.

And so, like the Matrix, we are pushed down into repetitive, confining roles that drain us of our energy and feed it to the societal machine, which leaves the average adult lifeless and cynical.

How similar they must of felt under the imperial rule of Rome — then Jesus shared a solution:

“Truly I tell you,” He said, “unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
