Bed of roses
Within dark forest
I ask thee —
“What’s thy purpose?”

Thus spoke the roses:
“No other, no other —
No other but to grow”

Bed of roses
Within dark forest
I ask thee —
“What is mine?”

Thus spoke the roses:
“No other, no other —
But the same
Find your thorns and wield them
Find your petals’ shine
And most of all
Most of all
Grow before you die.”

Thanks for reading! Here’s two other poems for you:

I also write about spiritual philosophy. Here’s one article on Buddhism:
