Daybreak

A poem

Daybreak over a city with no name
I arise from my bright darkness
Down from the hills of the forest
Where surrounded by living things
And into the land of the dead
Those blind masses
Their lords have taken from them
But some still have their ears
You who hear this —
You who are not yet ready to hear this!
Take this raven’s feather
And hide it well within your heart
And perhaps it will blossom
And perhaps you will get the chance
To escape what once was your wicked fate!

Thanks for reading! Ravens are like my favorite bird lately. Birds represent the freedom of the spirit, and ravens in particular represent darkness, mystery, and magic. Daybreak comes when the two work together, I think.
