#1: Journaling Helps You Learn Who You Are
Often, we find ourselves stuck in the same and sometimes stupid patterns. It feels like we were meant to do more than just work, eat, sleep, repeat. It feels like we’re supposed to have a purpose, a destiny. But we’re stuck.
The stuckness we feel is most often because we’ve been living our life unconsciously. Old habits that may have been helpful years ago, we cling on to, mainly because they’re comfortable and familiar. And that’s the problem: unconscious of our habits, we repeat them even though they might not serve us anymore, and that causes us to repeat the same suffering, over and over.
But there is a solution: to become conscious of who we really are. We can learn to identify, in words, what our deepest desires are and how to work towards them. We can learn what habits need to change, and the best way to change them. We can release the emotional baggage that’s been weighing us down by venting it, and solving the problem.
